Tuesday, October 17, 2006 - 20:27 GMT I just got done building the new box and i was planning on mounting my orion HCCA-d5000 on the box but i read thats bad...do you have any suggestions on where to mount it? Here is a pic of my box. There is room underneath where the subs are to hide the spair tire and i could possibly fit an amp there.

Tuesday, October 17, 2006 - 21:44 GMT you could try there. IMO if i were you i would cut a piece of MDF around the size of your amp (a little bigger) then carpet it and attach that to your box, then your amp to that piece. i would think the amp would be safe with double the thickness.

Tuesday, October 17, 2006 - 21:57 GMT I heard a good idea recently I believe it was from Renegade. Do as stated above but also put a piece of rubber inbetween the amp and the carpet. The rubber will absorb all of the vibrations if any.

Tuesday, October 17, 2006 - 22:36 GMT you could get a baseball regripping kit, cut it into stripp's as long as your amp and put them on all sides of your amp this will keep it off the box itself.
