Hey guys i just need some advice i bought 2 audiobahns with a combined wattage of 1600. How many watts amplifier should i use for it and should i put a 1 farad capacitor and another battery or will my stock battery be able to handle the system?
And by the way here are the specs for my amps: 45 oz. Strontium Magnet
Power Handling EACH Sub: 400 watts R.M.S./ 800 Watt Peak ! !
Frequency Response: 24Hz - 1kHz
Efficiency: 92.1 dB
EPDM Rubber Surround
Molded, Texture Injected Poly Cone
2 Inch 4-Layer ASV Voice Coils
Dual 4 Ohm Coils
2 Ohm or 8 Ohm Operation
Mounting Dimensions: Depth; 5 1/4 Inch Hole; 10 7/8 Inch Diameter; 12 1/2"
ignore peak specs, they vary widely between different manufacturers use RMS numbers. any amp that is about 800w RMS at 1 ohm would work for you. at 800w you should be able to use your stock system
thanks a lot brother i really appreciate it. Also i have 2 more questions , Should i use a capacitor and what kind of wire should i use becuase i heard some people use special type of wire for better performance is that true? or is it just a rumour.. mind me for being such a noob..lolz
not to knock you Chauncey but fo some people bling works, yes you can get better subs but knocking a persons choice without knowing exactly what they were looking for isn't exactly fair. It may be that it was the best thing available to him. Lots of people would knock my setup alot harder than audiobahn but I'm happy with it so in my opinion that's all that counts.
