Bronze Member Username: Bayrent88Ingleside, Texas USA Post Number: 56 Registered: Jul-06 | i am looking for 2 subs...either 10" or 12" and i want both sq and spl..more spl though...under $200 per sub |
Silver Member Username: Usask8er1Appleton, Wisconsin USA Post Number: 426 Registered: Jun-05 | I think no matter what subs you get your going to be under-powering them. You can get a nice little setup for just under 400 for two subs but you really will want a new amp for it. Thats only 250rms per sub. Most subs in that price range will be 500-1000rms each. |
Gold Member Username: TjmutlowPost Number: 2954 Registered: Sep-05 | whatever subs you get if you want to run bridged, you need 2 single 4 or 2 dual 2 ohm subs. |
Silver Member Username: 420alldaylongPost Number: 544 Registered: Sep-06 | Josh That's a good amp What did your birthsheet say for your Rockford T5002. I had a Rockford T3002 slammin the hell out of a Kicker solo Baric L5 15" 750 watts RMS. |
Bronze Member Username: Bayrent88Ingleside, Texas USA Post Number: 57 Registered: Jul-06 | yeah i know its a good amp...i can't quite remember what the birth sheet said but i know it was around 1000 X 1 watts at 2 ohms |
Bronze Member Username: Bayrent88Ingleside, Texas USA Post Number: 58 Registered: Jul-06 | i know what KIND of subs i need i just wanna know what yall would recomend for 1000 rms |

Gold Member Username: James1115Ct Post Number: 6804 Registered: Dec-04 | 1000 watts is a tad much for the atlas. they are 250rms. How about 2 IDQ's from image dynamics, 2 alpine type r's, kicker cvx's, cerwin vega v-max's. |

Silver Member Username: Mvplefty12Pinellas, FLA America Post Number: 116 Registered: Mar-06 | lol, no way, stay away from the new L7's. I'd run 2 12" s.i. bm's, or a single 15" Fi Q... a Massive Audio CW15, maybe a soundsplinter RL-p... |

Silver Member Username: Mvplefty12Pinellas, FLA America Post Number: 122 Registered: Mar-06 | Poor build quality... theyll get loud, very loud for the first couple weeks, then theyll boom real loud, but that boom is them blowin up. |
Bronze Member Username: Bayrent88Ingleside, Texas USA Post Number: 61 Registered: Jul-06 | then why the hell are they so expensive |
Silver Member Username: BernymacRialto, CA United States Post Number: 488 Registered: Sep-04 | Why not go with a 1 sub setup. Mainly one 15 sd2.5 for 1 15 fi Q. Because these things can handle quite a lot of power, mainly 1000rms. But if you want something that can handle 500rms you can always step down a notch, such as the fi ssd or the aq sd2. |
Bronze Member Username: Bayrent88Ingleside, Texas USA Post Number: 62 Registered: Jul-06 | yeah he more i think about i think i will just run one sub...what brand subs are those bernyMAC |
Silver Member Username: BernymacRialto, CA United States Post Number: 491 Registered: Sep-04 | www.ficaraudio.com for the 1 fi Q or 2 ssd's www.audioque.com for the sd2.5 1 sub is fine, or two sd2's. |
Silver Member Username: 420alldaylongPost Number: 564 Registered: Sep-06 | There is nothing wrong with the Kicker Solo Baric L5 or L7 just make sure you break them in bofore you pound the hell out of them and they will be fine. |
New member Username: Haydog_08Hot Springs Village, Arkansas US Post Number: 5 Registered: Oct-06 | what he said^^^^^ i had 1 L5 12" for the longest time and i could still hit harder than most people that had two 12"...and never had any problems with that sub... but im not sure about the new L7's....im a little iffy about them..... |
Bronze Member Username: Bayrent88Ingleside, Texas USA Post Number: 63 Registered: Jul-06 | well...i think i am going to get one L7 15"...does anyone what what kinda dbs one L7 15" will hit |
Silver Member Username: Rob_pregNE, Ohio United states Post Number: 706 Registered: Sep-05 | one billion |
New member Username: Haydog_08Hot Springs Village, Arkansas US Post Number: 7 Registered: Oct-06 | idk but it will hit hard |
Gold Member Username: FrkkevinLake Worth, Texas US Post Number: 1251 Registered: Nov-05 | never know.. depends on a lot of variances .. temp/humidity/install/box/amp/ect ... you said yo were looking for some SQ so I'd stay away from that L7 unless all your looking for is SPL.. if your going with a single setup now I'd choose either 1) Si Mag 2) Fi Q 3) Aq Hd3 .. now my bias opinion would be get an RE SX.. if you can find one at a decent price |
Bronze Member Username: ErikdagenerikLivermore, CA US Post Number: 79 Registered: Aug-05 | imagedynamicsusa.com IDMax 12" Hands down best bang for the buck in my opinion. |
Gold Member Username: Basshead86Try Google Post Number: 7120 Registered: Aug-05 | they dont make them anymore....they stopped production on the v.3 and were "supposed" to release the v.4 this summer... also, they are around ~400...not the best bang for the buck. they aren't that loud either, EXCELLENT SQ sub...but there are louder for cheaper, that good as well. |
Gold Member Username: Basshead86Try Google Post Number: 7121 Registered: Aug-05 | that sound*** good as well... |
Bronze Member Username: Bayrent88Ingleside, Texas USA Post Number: 64 Registered: Jul-06 | Kevin I would get an RE sx but they are only dual 2 ohms right??? my amp is 1000 watts at 2 ohms so that wouldn't work out for me |
Gold Member Username: Extrmndor3Chicago, Ill Us Post Number: 2149 Registered: Feb-06 | josh u can get another same punch later on and strap them even if they arent strapable u can put each amp on each coil and match the gains perfeclty i was in a competition and a dude with a single 12 was pushing i dont know how many watts but it was two orion 2500d im guessing maybe 5k rms they didnt blow. |
Gold Member Username: Extrmndor3Chicago, Ill Us Post Number: 2150 Registered: Feb-06 | wait u have the power series amps??? the black ones with the anl fuse?? those are 1 ohm stable |
Bronze Member Username: Bayrent88Ingleside, Texas USA Post Number: 66 Registered: Jul-06 | yeah it is..but its not 1 ohm stable |
Bronze Member Username: Bayrent88Ingleside, Texas USA Post Number: 68 Registered: Jul-06 | what about 2 10L7's would that be a better set up than one 15" |
