I am looking to change amps for my 2 12w6v2's and I was thinking about getting a rockford t20001bd 2000 watts. I was wanting this one because I could have some headroom for future subs. If I wire the subs to 4ohm and give them 750 watts which is about their rms. I can also wire them to 1 ohm for 2000 which is way overpower. Would I get a cleaner sound wiring the subs to 4ohm over 1ohm??
one will run cooler, just that... people say that you lose quality when you run at 1 ohm, but i always prefer running the amp matching with the specs. I'd run it at 1 ohm
At 4ohm on the Rockford T20001BD it pushes over 1100 watts so that's to much for those JL Audio subs if you put to much power to JL subs the warranty is know good.
