alright well yeah you could but its pointless unless your subwoofer wire leads that come from the spider/cone area are the size of like 8 gauge wire, which most arent. my advice is to get a wire that is as thick as the wire leads on your subwoofer. otherwise you are wasting your money

well the wire coming from my subs is 8 gauge. and the cable i was gonna use is 8 gauge.

how many watts? the reason people use huge speaker wire is for tremendous power! i knew a guy using zero guage wire to his speaker, spliced to fit into the terminals. nuts but this' for 12000 watts per woofer. but to make things easier you can. lol. what ever floats ur boat. (DIYers rule!!)
