it seems to me that my subs are not getting the full potential. i have the input signal all the way up on the amp but it seems like when I turn it up louder, my pioneer door speakers start to distort before i can give the subs all their power. what can i do to fix this problem?
input signal should not be all of the way up search on how to set your gain correctly with a DMM subwoofertools.com has a good page. or just set it to your HU pre out voltage befor you blow your subs from cliping
they are 2 ss rl-p's (650wrms a piece) powered by an infinity amp, 1300w @ 2 ohm...but my amp isnt even getting to 1300w probably because when i turn it up, the door speakers(pioneers) start to distort before anything else. dont get me wrong, my subs still hit hard, but im thinkin they can hit harder.
its a sealed box and its made to the recommended dimensions for the sub...and i dont have an amp for the door speakers, its just running off my head unit.
