Forget a ported box...i got a ported car!!

on my new car one part of my back seat folds down giving access to trunk...when i let that down my speakers can breathe!!did i spell it right?? makes it ten times louder no joke..when its closed off..sounds smothered and like sh!t i love my new ported car.lol

naw some cars rear seat dont fold down!!! all cars SHOULD have it..i love it..

there just sharing the same cabin as u so they sound louder....just like a hatch or suv

with seats down it is louder.. both by ear and mic.. with the seat up it acts as a baffle for the sound so it would be as loud but will allow the waves to resonant throughout the trunk and come in sounding better as they mature

Yeah i had an 05 mustang GT with the stock shaker 1000 system in it.. (not impressive in the least) but it was twice as loud when i folded down the rear seats

The car's interior volume adds to the boxes volume when the dirver used is capable of moving the air effectively.

For instance a 12" would work, while a 4" would be less effective (possibly unsucessfull at all) because the 4" driver does not have enough piston surface area to move the cabins air no matter how much Bl the 4" had.

Yeah the middle part (arm rest) of my back seats folds down to give access to the trunk, so I just have the port firing out right there :-) Needless to say it works well
