Ford RDS EON 6000 CD problem

James Wilding New member Username: Riverman United Kingdom Post Number: 1 Registered: Sep-06	Posted on Wednesday, September 27, 2006 - 14:04 GMT I'm getting an 'E 12' error on the RDS 6000 CD/radio I just bought (second hand). According to the manual this means the CD needs cleaning but it's a persistent error with all CDs I've tried. I've read elsewhere that disconnecting the battery leads (from the battery itself) and then reconnecting might help, but this is difficult for me. Does anyone know a) whether/why disconnecting the battery works? b) is there anything else I can try to get the CD player working? I can hear the CD player spin up, so I know it's working to that extent, but that's all I know. Thanks.
