Tuesday, September 26, 2006 - 19:48 GMT my subs are making a tinny noise everytime the bass hits, my guess is, since theyre dvc, that the jumper inside is moving around and is getting hit by the sub everytime it moves. could this be it or are there other ideas?

Tuesday, September 26, 2006 - 21:39 GMT Sealed enclosure? Air leaks sometimes make that noise. Sounds like a busted VC tho. Copper wire may be rattling around inside.

Wednesday, September 27, 2006 - 00:30 GMT my subs are brand new so i dont think i busted a vc already. they sounded like that right away...it is a sealed enclosure and if there was an air leak, it would be very minimal. they are 2 12" rl-p's

Wednesday, September 27, 2006 - 19:27 GMT A sealed enclosure should have no leaks, minimal or otherwise. For further enlightenment, check sealed in the dictionary. If you have lead slap.....glue a small swath of box carpet/felt/wtfe to the backside of the cone where the leads would hit.

Wednesday, September 27, 2006 - 19:52 GMT well most subwoofers when they move are noisy not too lou d or even unnoticable when put it in the box but they make a tiny sound while they travel, and when the subwoofers bottom out, the only subwoofer its virtually free of noises when it travels teir xmax its the jl audio w7

Thursday, September 28, 2006 - 19:08 GMT Soundsplinter is a reliable company, I doubt there's anything wrong with the subs since they were brand new. Most likely tinsel lead slap. If the tinsel wires are too tight, they could pull out during extreme excursion, and then it sounds like your tapping on a tin can.
