Which hifonics amps have you owned eric? I'd like to see some pics
My hifonics amp never overheated.. in fact it stayed at a nice temp. all the time, I had a titan, though. It put out some seriously nice power, not to what it's rated, but close enough.
on zeus i have an old one in my girls car 600 watts 2 ch pushing 2 10 inch l5 solobaric the gain half way works awsome if i pass half way overheats goes into protection.
the amp overheats for a reason, and when u tun the gain past what its supposed ot be set at, it makes ur amp work harder and goes into protect mode to protect the amp.
