What do you mean by you wired them into the front ones? There should be 4 speaker outputs on the back of your stereo.. one for each speaker...

the HU should have 4 speaker outputs....if you wired 2 speakers into one output than you're probably running the HU into too low of ohms loads. You need to wire the front speakers to the front speaker outputs and the rears to the rear.

Your Head Unit should have speaker wires for : Front Left, Front Right, Rear Left, Rear Right. And if you say that only your front outputs are the only ones that put out a signal, If I were you, I would only connect the front speakers then. You would get more juice out of them and be able to sustain that volume. You should disconnect the rears from the fronts because you'll most likely burn your headunit or something sometime soon (maybe).

IF you have aftermarket speakers:
If you have aftermarket speakers and an aftermarket Headunit, and the rear outputs don't work. Then my best advice to you is to purchase a 4 channel amplifier.

Also. Make sure that your settings on your headunit isn't at negative something for the rears. and all the way up for the fronts, that could be something also. also make sure that your wires for the rear speakers aren't cut, which can lead them to touch ground, but this would most likely cause your headunit to turn off anyways also, But just in case, check your wires.

Honestly, I agree with Muddy. If you don't know what an HU is and you're not even getting signal from the speaker outputs you need to take it to a shop to get looked at and installed professionally. Telling you how to check it won't help if you don't even know what we're talking about. Maybe if you gave us some pictures it might help. Also did you try and hardwire the radio into the factory wiring meaning you cut the harness's off both the radio and the factory wires, cause if you did you really need to take it to a shop to get it done.
