PLEASE!!! help!!! amp help

New member Username: Ndjumpman23mjPost Number: 1 Registered: Sep-06 | im very new to the car audio world but please i need some help, my subs hav 3200 watts total (2 twelves) and i need a good priced amp that wont underpower it, my friend told me that i need a 4000 watt amp to power my subs(so i wont underpower them) and i find it close to impossible to find a amp with 4000 watts that does not cost a fortune Please, give me a full rundown on what type of amp, how many watts, and how much i can get a nice amp for my subs. Gold Member Username: Alias747MN Post Number: 1360 Registered: Apr-05 | I am guessing that the "(2 X 1600 WATTS)" is a MAX rating lol, of course it is. And GENERALY (not always) the max rating is double the RMS. So if they are lying to you honestly (haha) the subs should be 800 wrms a peice. However, those subs do not look like they can take anywhere near that much real wattage. I am guessing you didn't pay all that much for those.
