I'm down to two choices, an Audiobahn A6004V (600 watts x 2 @ 4 ohms) or an Audiobahn A8000V (800 watts x 1 @ 2 ohms). They are $5 apart in price, so that's not an issue. So here's my question. Is there a noticable difference between wiring my two subs in parallel to the mono amp to push them at 800 watts from wiring them in stereo at 600 watts? I'm talking in sound, not wattage. That's the obvious difference. My subs are only 600 watts RMS anyways, so I was going to turn down the gain on the A8000V and get about 600 watts out of it. |

By your specs the AV6004 will have more pwoer available for each sub 600 per bridged channels. The 800 will have its 800rms split between two subs. if thats your only amp in the car it won't matter if its D or AB class unless you have a tiny alty. You will need a multimeter to set the gains up correctly though which will take extra effort. But how about this, don't go AudioBahn. They're junk. If you're on a budget go Hifonics. |
