Sunday, October 01, 2006 - 05:49 GMT unhook the cap from the battery, but leave the cap connected to the amp and run your stereo for a while. If there is a charge it will be gone shortly

Sunday, October 01, 2006 - 20:03 GMT you do what Chad said, just make sure you keep the volume low. or hook a light bulb across the leads, when the light goes out, the cap is discharged. if the cap has a REM wire on it, then you don't have to worry about anything. it'll only discharge if you put 12V+ on the REM lead.
