I have had this alarm for some time now, and it has worked great until the remote took a crap and I tried to program the new remote to work. I must have someone reset the brains back to default settings. I obtained the install guide in an attempt to fix the remote start problem. It will crank, but just not long enough, then it will do the second attempt and fail. If the vehicle is warm 7 out of 10 remote starts it will be successful. It does wait for the glow plug to go out before attempting the start routine. I bumped the crank time up to (9) which is 4 seconds, but it is not even cranking for that long. When remote starting it's like it almost starts to run, like the Viper thinks it is. Could it be (3-1) Engine checking or (3-2) Checking type tach. Would should these be set to successfully start an 05 F350 Diesel?
I had the brains re-learn the tach last night. This morning, it cranked and ran the first time I was amazed. Hopefully this was the fix, thanks to all for the help.
