Sub box question

Am I supposed to screw down and secure my sub box. should I attached it to the bare floor and remove the carpet under it or just rely on gravity to hold it in place.

I guess ill just screw it down just to be safe. what do most people do though? my box is going underneith my rear seats in my extended cab truck.

Yes its best to screw down your box, it will be deadly if you ever flip your car and also some insurance companies only cover your subs if they are attached to the car.

its a type of harder particle board. its the common choice for wood boxes. maybe hardboard was not the name of it.
