Sunday, September 10, 2006 - 15:09 GMT DD forum says it will tak 1500 rms and is recomended at 1000 for music power...and muddy often recommends 1200 watts If it were me id stay closer to the 1000 just to be safe.. keep in mind these are CLEAN watts

Sunday, September 10, 2006 - 16:07 GMT if you get a nine.1 it'd be better to run it at 2ohm. it's underrated and at 1ohm might put out to much power for it.

Sunday, September 10, 2006 - 16:55 GMT the whole reason i stress CLEAN watts...is b/c any sub will blow with dirty watts....but the DD's cool themselves VERY effectively with their Free Flow Cooling System(tons of vents and canals machined throughout the motor system to transfer heat and moving air around the VC) so if it isn't playing correctly aka distortion...then it won't cool properly...thus taking away the advantage of the FFCS. ...and then you blow them like andyF did....lol
