Silver Member Username: Crayola0Wisconsin Post Number: 718 Registered: Jun-06 | Are the dd 2500 sq subs? and what is your setup hittin? |
Gold Member Username: Basshead86Google is your Friend, FL Post Number: 5215 Registered: Aug-05 | i would say they are a very well balanced SQL sub. they are very clean, very accurate...and they get very loud for the amount of power they are given. they are DD's most popular sub ask the dealers. i am not sure what mine is hittin...prob low 30's at most.i only have 1 10". lol also i don't care how loud it is...only how well it sounds and whether or not the mids and highs blend well with the bass...i am out of the SPL stage. |
Silver Member Username: Crayola0Wisconsin Post Number: 719 Registered: Jun-06 | cuase i want to either get a 2515 or a 3515. |
Gold Member Username: Basshead86Google is your Friend, FL Post Number: 5225 Registered: Aug-05 | get either...they will both sound awesome. it all depends on how much power you can give and howmuch space you have to work with. |
Silver Member Username: Crayola0Wisconsin Post Number: 721 Registered: Jun-06 | how much are they? |
Gold Member Username: Basshead86Google is your Friend, FL Post Number: 5227 Registered: Aug-05 | around 190-250 for the 2500 and around 320-375 i think for the 3500 not exactly sure. |
Silver Member Username: Crayola0Wisconsin Post Number: 723 Registered: Jun-06 | how much power would i need for each one? |
Silver Member Username: Mr_keboAlbertville, Al USA Post Number: 418 Registered: Nov-04 | yea cause i may look at a 3512. i have about 1300 watts to feed it. Would it get louder than my 12" sx |
Gold Member Username: Basshead86Google is your Friend, FL Post Number: 5230 Registered: Aug-05 | i am not sure about that one Kebo...but i know it will be louder with around 1800-2000wRMS. the 2500's will do well with anywhere from 500-1500wRMS -- clean power and the 3500's will do well with 1000-2000wRMS -- clean power...although there isn't much more wattage to throw at the 3500's..they have a stiffer suspension...so they can be put in a bigger box...and they have more throw than the 2500's |
Silver Member Username: Crayola0Wisconsin Post Number: 725 Registered: Jun-06 | which would score better u think with about 1000 watts? |
Gold Member Username: Basshead86Google is your Friend, FL Post Number: 5231 Registered: Aug-05 | prob the 2500 b/c it would be closer to max output. |
Silver Member Username: Crayola0Wisconsin Post Number: 726 Registered: Jun-06 | aight..im guna go with one of those...and im gunna order it directly from them fro the 20% discount. What size enclosure should it go in cause i know it should be tuned to 40hz? |
Gold Member Username: Basshead86Google is your Friend, FL Post Number: 5239 Registered: Aug-05 | you don't have to tune it to 40hz...it is just what they recommend b/c it is what they consider the best all around tune in a car. i would go with this: http://www.ddaudio.com/dd/caraudio/enclosureInfo/boxSize_hiEff.asp that should give youan idea as to how much box you want or need. remember..the more box...the less tight the bass will be....so don't build a huuuuuuuuuuge box and then complain about it not sounding good...i hate people like that. lmao! |
