Bronze Member Username: CkelleyPost Number: 16 Registered: Jun-06 | I have a jl 500/1 and 300/4. Would these 2 be too much for a factory alt in a 2001 Maxima. I wanted to run both of them off a 4g and distribution block. |

Post Number: 4013 Registered: Feb-05 | I have a 1998 Nissan Maxima and was also wondering if my Rockford Fosgate Power 1000 5 channel whould be ok if i run it at 50 x 4 @ 4 ohm for the speaker channels class AB and 600 x 1 @ 2 ohm for the sub channel class BD I think it will be fine while driving like james said but lights may dim at idle. Im not sure what the stock rating is on the maxima alternators. |

Gold Member Username: Suleman36Maryland U.S.A. Post Number: 4014 Registered: Feb-05 | Thanks James, So it looks like i will be running 800 watts rms which is also underated. Do you think i will be ok with 4 gauge or go with the 1/0 in a maxima ? Only reason im asking is because i whould like to keep the weight on the car as low as possible. |

Gold Member Username: IlluminatorUSA Post Number: 4423 Registered: Apr-05 | 4ga would be fine with 800w RMS, but 1/0 certainly wouldn't hurt. |

Gold Member Username: James1115Ct Post Number: 6247 Registered: Dec-04 | 4 guage might not be fine! you need to determine the length of the run of wire. If it is longer then 15 ft I would go with 1/0. The longer the run the more current that is lost. |
