Wednesday, August 23, 2006 - 02:14 GMT what exactly causes port noise, i know it has something to do with air turbulance or something. i am going to be building a ported box in the near future and would like to not have port noise. it will be slot ported

Wednesday, August 23, 2006 - 04:19 GMT think about it like this...when you try to put alot of air through a small passage it will whistle. also, if you push alot of air over a edge it will whistle.

Thursday, August 24, 2006 - 01:18 GMT so even if i have enough port area will i still have to sand the edges to get not port noise? just the inside edges? what if my port is very thin, will sanding the edges even make a difference?
