Posted on i'm havin a bit of a problem here i hooked up my amp and sub, the light was on then i dicovered my antenna was ungrounded, ground the antenna HU tyrned on then the amp quit workin? if i could get a liust of any /all reasons an amp wouldn't work that would help so i cen check s-it |

Posted on unhooked the antenna then the hu wouldn't start but when i touched the antenna back hu came on so i thought the antenna was a ground would that interupt my amp at all bc it was workin fine when i had the antenna unhooked but when i rehooked the antenna power is gone from the amp ?????any suggestions????? |

Posted on Yeah, the antenna is NOT a ground. The head unit is grounded via the black wire coming out of the wiring harness. Hook up the black ground wire to a clean tight area on the chassis and see if that works. If not, it's possible you could have fried something in the head unit, with the remote wire being one of the possibilities, unfortunately. |
