Hey if i was to buy a Kenwood 12" sub Peak 1000w 200 watt rms

http://www.strathfield.com.au/viewproduct.asp?ProdID=1775

And brought this amp

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/New-LV-QUART-2-Ch-1600watt-Brigdeable-Mosfet-Amplifier_W0 QQitemZ120018728538QQihZ002QQcategoryZ4950QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Would this amp power it good enough???? I was also possibly thinking of getting two subs, would it power them both or would i have to get another amp to power the other one?? Also wat does the watt rating on the subs mean? Wats the diff between a 1000w and a 500w. Thanks heaps

this came from kenwoods website on that sub, I would not put more then a 500-600w to it, also going to determine what amp you need to how many subs you use, it seems those are single 4 ohm subs, so 1 sub need a 2 channel, 2 subs need a mono 2 ohm stable amp(about 1000-1200w)

First you need to find out what the rms wattage is on the amp... and since those subs are only 200watts rms (max doesnt mean crap)... you probably wouldn't want to put much more than that to each sub. so I would guess a 400-500 watt rms amp to put 200-250 watts per sub...if you put a 1000watt rms amp to those subs, it would blow them prety quickly.
