Saturday, July 29, 2006 - 17:41 GMT I have 1 10 kicker l5 and a 400 watt kicker amp and the problem is my amp will work for a little while and then stop working for a day or so and everything seems to be wired right and i cant figure out what the problem is

Saturday, July 29, 2006 - 17:47 GMT common things to check are: ground -- good connection Gain is set CORRECTLY on the amp, should be set to the preout voltage of ur HU wuts the rms on the sub and wuts the specs on the amp, rms specs

Saturday, July 29, 2006 - 21:58 GMT well i dont know if ti is me or not, but most of the people i know with kicker amps all say that they will cut off and then cut back on. so it might just be charging system. IMO

Sunday, July 30, 2006 - 00:49 GMT you can check it with a voltmeter, or you can just made sure itts a solid ground, with it securlly connected to the chasis of the vehicle, make sure its not connected the paint, is so, it needs to be sanded off, then put the ground wire on the BARE metal. DMM is always a good way though
