Gold Member Username: PelonaPerres, California Post Number: 1707 Registered: Dec-05 | ima get a 15" of one of the following subwoofers. i will put them in a ported low tuned box probably tuned at 25hz the subs are... Eclipse TI Treo SSi Crystal Comp X SI mag which one of these has better sq, spl, sql, goes deepest, etc? i heard the SSi n TI are very similiar in sq n spl so it just comes down to price between them i guess but i dont kno bout the others |
Gold Member Username: JakeyplaysbassSt. Louis, MO Post Number: 1309 Registered: Jul-05 | i dont think the TI and SSi are very similar at all. maybe its just the TIs ive heard, but the SSi has strong sq while the TI has more SPL. the comp Xs are great subs and should hit very hard and clean tuned that low. ive never heard a SI mag so i cant comment on them. i would probably say comp X is the best choice out of the ones ive heard. |

Gold Member Username: PelonaPerres, California Post Number: 1725 Registered: Dec-05 | wut?! so ur sayin that $300 compx is an old 97 model? not a new one? |
Gold Member Username: RovinTrinidad & T... Post Number: 8646 Registered: Jul-05 | B means the technology behind it - it does not mean thats its not a good sub just that they havent changed its technology , heck maybe they thought "if it ain't broke then don't fix it" -lol there was a thread about it on termpro forum which i read a while ago ..... |
Gold Member Username: PelonaPerres, California Post Number: 1726 Registered: Dec-05 | hey is this a good amp for the cmpx? its dual 2ohms right? http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=3195 |

Gold Member Username: AlteraudiousaConcord Post Number: 1101 Registered: Jan-06 | get a Mag 15 and call it a day, I have yet to find its limit and i've tried tried really hard. Only hits harder and deeper the more i push it. |
Gold Member Username: PelonaPerres, California Post Number: 1733 Registered: Dec-05 | wtf so a comp x or a mag? hey alter i kno that the 15" mag is 950 rms but i kno they could take much more how much more? |
Gold Member Username: BestmankindLos Angeles, CA USA Post Number: 4472 Registered: Oct-05 | well there are some people on another forum giving them 2000wrms daily and the sub takes it. |
Gold Member Username: PelonaPerres, California Post Number: 1735 Registered: Dec-05 | godam thats alot so they could take like the same rms as the comp x...hey is there anywhere where u could get the mag for cheaper than five bills? |
Gold Member Username: Chaunb3400Huntsville, Alabama U.S. Post Number: 8237 Registered: Jul-05 | "compx is a a old design (1997)... its a good street beater sub, thats it... I wouldnt give it more than 2200rms... its a good sub if it fits your needs..." LOL.....the old design was called the cmpx..900rms...the newer overhung design is called the compx...1600rms...there is a huge diffrence...not in sq..still 1 of the best...but the spl is very noticable...which 1 did u hear???? |
Silver Member Username: FrkkevinDenton, Texas US Post Number: 282 Registered: Nov-05 | I'd suggest the comp x.. I heard 1 compx2 the other day.. it was given 2400wrms and was taking it.. only problem hes had giving it that much power is blowing the rubber surround but all he has to do is reglue it |
Gold Member Username: Chaunb3400Huntsville, Alabama U.S. Post Number: 8243 Registered: Jul-05 | u save $200 by buying the compx...and there are no drawbacks.... |
Gold Member Username: PelonaPerres, California Post Number: 1741 Registered: Dec-05 | wut the hell i just checked on ikesound n it says the compx is dual 2ohms...is it dual 2ohms or dual 4ohms or both? |

Gold Member Username: B101Queen City, NC USA Post Number: 3502 Registered: Sep-05 | yea the compx is what I was refering to, i still wouldnt give it more than 2200rms... good street beater subs, nice sq... si mag will be the most efficent on his list, and get louder with less power.. still handles alot of power, but not necessary... smaller box, efficent sub.. the SSI u cant loose with it either... but difently more than the rms to get it goin nicely.. |
Gold Member Username: PelonaPerres, California Post Number: 1746 Registered: Dec-05 | thanx for that info b but u didnt answer my question lol is the comp x dual 4ohm, dual 2ohm, or both? |
Silver Member Username: Lil_jonPost Number: 363 Registered: Jul-05 | why not the w7 its sq is very good and will get loud unless you dont like common subs |
Gold Member Username: PelonaPerres, California Post Number: 1747 Registered: Dec-05 | man f*ck the w7 lol i aint rich |
Gold Member Username: AlteraudiousaConcord Post Number: 1107 Registered: Jan-06 | the Mag will probably be your easy make a sealed box throw 1000rms or so on it and call it a day. It'll have awesome output and killer SQ. W7 sucks for the price and the SSI does better in a ported box. Eclipse Ti i know is good but not as good as the Mag or SSI. Never dealt with the Crystal but it looks promising, i'd like to try one if I didn't love my Mag so much. |
Gold Member Username: PelonaPerres, California Post Number: 1748 Registered: Dec-05 | naw i think il go wit the crystal cuz il save more money and i want it ported low so i can hit the deep notes but f*ck!! answer my muthafuken question lol if its dual 4ohm or dual 2ohm.......f*ck!!! |
Gold Member Username: Chaunb3400Huntsville, Alabama U.S. Post Number: 8258 Registered: Jul-05 | the standard is dvc 4ohm...they hand make all there stuff(besides..door speaks) so call and they will make them the way u want.... |
Gold Member Username: Chaunb3400Huntsville, Alabama U.S. Post Number: 8259 Registered: Jul-05 | "Eclipse Ti i know is good but not as good as the Mag or SSI." Where did u hear ur TI..because i hear SSI's and TI's all the time...and i would take the Ti ova a ssi anyday... |
