Sunday, July 23, 2006 - 16:04 GMT i dotn know why your so set on 1000rms it doesnt have to do with how loud a sub will get, just how much power it takes to move it really. you relize your probly going to need a high output altenator to run that amp right? if youve got money to buy a 1000rms amp or a 2000rms amp then why is your budget 300 for 2 12s why dont you spend more and get some nicer subs

Sunday, July 23, 2006 - 19:24 GMT i think he is sayin that the rms really doesn't mean too much, i mean you can have a set of w3's with a total of 600 rms and pound or you can have a sub who has a 1000 rms and get beat out by the w3's, the way i see it is it is all in he quality of the subwoofer...

Sunday, July 23, 2006 - 20:19 GMT marcus that didnt make much since because 2 w3s will most likely have twice the cone area, as the one 1000rms sub. and the subs will have a different amount of excursion, sensitivity etc. i think chauncey is saying that you dont search for a sub based on rms. like tyler said^^^

Sunday, July 23, 2006 - 21:54 GMT well like i was saying, i did fxck that up, say he had 2 subs that equaled 1000rms, and the w3's won wih being only 600 rms, that is what i was thinking, i gotta agree that the rms really doesn't mean much though
