It's a good head unit, I don't own it personally, but it has some good features.
The difference between the Premier and regular Pioneers is always a common question...
-Premier label in place of the Pioneer label. -Higher pre-out voltage -Longer warranty -Sometimes the premier has gold-plated RCA pre-outs. -The build quality seems to be better to endure the longer warranty.
Not a massive difference, but definitely worth it.
Jexx, I mistakenly thought you were referring to the P980BT.
I'm going to be buying one soon, but I'm disappointed that the premiere doesn't have higher voltage. 5 volts is still pretty good.
The differences between premiere and non-premiere are becoming less significant. I wonder if its even worth it for Pioneer to keep making two versions.
Yeah, even I don't know why they make regular and Premier versions. I think the biggest reason to get a Premier is just the build quality-they just seem to be built better-maybe it's just me, though.
It's just a difference, not necessarily a feature unless you wanted to show off to your friends you spent the extra forty or whatever difference it costs. haha
the warranty on a premier unit is 2yrs instead of 1, the EQ makes a BIG difference, the preouts helps, and the TA is nice to have. Its a killer unit especially when using the bluetooth part which is pretty fun. Easy to use and a nice OEL screen too.
