My alternator crapped out

Gold Member Username: Iufan4lifeulPost Number: 1122 Registered: May-05 | I have an 85 amp alternator, a duralast gold battery, a 1.2 farad cap. I also have a Crossfire 600D and a Kicker 250.2. The alternator is only putting out 13 amps at max right now so I have been calling around. 2 high end alternator shops here in Louisville will not touch the car unless to do a factory replacement. They said that a HO alternator or a rebuilt alternator will mess up something in the car. And because of time ( I need this to get fixed) I will be replacing it with another 85 amp alternator :/. So much for me wanting to get a High Output  . |

Gold Member Username: Extrmndor3Chicago, Ill Us Post Number: 1383 Registered: Feb-06 | i just installed my new iraggi alternator, its a 180 amp alternator it cost me 184 includin shippin, it works fine but i still have a little dimmin im gonna add a new batterie, no bro the alternator will not harm your vehicle if they mnean its gonna take power from your engine yes but its not gonna harm your engine, it will take only 1hp |
