Bronze Member Username: 04redmach1Columbus, GA USA Post Number: 18 Registered: Mar-06 | what kind of funds do you have for amp? |
Silver Member Username: Tdawg30Ohio USA Post Number: 110 Registered: Jun-06 | about 130. sad i know |
Silver Member Username: KaerfplSpencerport, NY USA Post Number: 300 Registered: Jun-06 | $130 isn't gonna get you something that high on watts so just save up some money! Heres an 800 watt when bridged: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_5402.html Heres a 1000 watt when bridged: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_5403.html I know it's not in the range that you want, but these are all that I could find around that range |
Silver Member Username: Tdawg30Ohio USA Post Number: 111 Registered: Jun-06 | there is an older model refurb at millionbuy.com that is 880x1 at 4ohms for 139 but i was just wondering if anyone had one for sale cheap. guess not tho. might as well go for the one at millionbuy i guess. Any info on this amp...http://www.millionbuy.com/souega4220.html |

Silver Member Username: Tdawg30Ohio USA Post Number: 112 Registered: Jun-06 | wrong link here it is.....http://www.millionbuy.com/souega2440.html |
Silver Member Username: Tdawg30Ohio USA Post Number: 113 Registered: Jun-06 | yeah but i heard that the audiobahn heats up quick and draws lots of current?????? |
Silver Member Username: Tdawg30Ohio USA Post Number: 114 Registered: Jun-06 | actually it doesnt even have to 850. I can go for like 700 decent watts |
Silver Member Username: KaerfplSpencerport, NY USA Post Number: 301 Registered: Jun-06 | What are you powering? |
Silver Member Username: Tdawg30Ohio USA Post Number: 115 Registered: Jun-06 | 3 10" 275watt woofers. wired to a 4ohm load. i could wire them to a 1ohm load but dont want to put the strain on my electrical system and amp. |
Silver Member Username: KaerfplSpencerport, NY USA Post Number: 302 Registered: Jun-06 | Is the 275 Watts the MAX or the RMS? Also, is there any reason wy your looking for SoundStream amps? Can it be another brand? |
Silver Member Username: Tdawg30Ohio USA Post Number: 116 Registered: Jun-06 | i guess it can but i like soundstream, and its 275 rms a piece. if you have any other suggestions just let me know. I appreciate all the advice so far thanks. |
Gold Member Username: CarguyPost Number: 5594 Registered: Nov-04 | A8000T is class D and 2ohm load, A8002 is class AB and 4ohm load. If you "exceed" the minimum ohm requirements, then sure it will get hot quickly. That applies to most amps. As for current draw, all class AB amps will use more power than class D, nothing abnormal. |
Silver Member Username: KaerfplSpencerport, NY USA Post Number: 303 Registered: Jun-06 | Well, I was looking around an I found a nice mono block that you can get, pretty pricy though: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_5432.html I'll look for some more later when I get back from the dentist |
Silver Member Username: Tdawg30Ohio USA Post Number: 117 Registered: Jun-06 | oh that sux. have fun man. yeah that is pretty pricey lol. thanx tho. |
Silver Member Username: KaerfplSpencerport, NY USA Post Number: 307 Registered: Jun-06 | I found the Audiobahn amp (A8002) on ebay for a good price: http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-AUDIOBAHN-A8002T-800-WATT-2-CH-CAR-AMPLIFIER-BASS_W0QQit emZ5862368436QQihZ008QQcategoryZ48597QQssPageNameZWD1VQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem |
Silver Member Username: Tdawg30Ohio USA Post Number: 120 Registered: Jun-06 | hey thanx joe but check out the link in the new thread i made about logic soundlab. there is an amp there that i was thinkin bout. |
Silver Member Username: KaerfplSpencerport, NY USA Post Number: 308 Registered: Jun-06 | alright, let me take a look at it h/o |
Silver Member Username: KaerfplSpencerport, NY USA Post Number: 309 Registered: Jun-06 | I don't know. I can't find any information about that amp anywhere. No reviews or even specs, well other than it's 700x2 @2ohm but still, it doesn't say anything about what it would be bridged. Probably 1400 but, it's probably overrated. I'd rather go with the soundstream amp that was 800 watts in my previous post. Then i'd go with the Audiobahn, then this: http://www.americancaraudio.com//M683i.html |
Silver Member Username: Tdawg30Ohio USA Post Number: 121 Registered: Jun-06 | That ma audio is like 100 bucks with shipping on ebay. what will iut actually put out at 4ohm bridged???? it says 800 max. but maybe like 700.... if so im gettin it. |
Silver Member Username: KaerfplSpencerport, NY USA Post Number: 312 Registered: Jun-06 | Well, i'd say that the MA would be alittle overrated. Probably by around 100-150 watts so ya, go for it. Also, here are some newer models with some good reviews that you can look into: 700 Watts: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6560.html 800 Watts: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_2675.html |
Silver Member Username: Tdawg30Ohio USA Post Number: 122 Registered: Jun-06 | thanx so much man. I cant tell ya how helpful you have been. |
Silver Member Username: KaerfplSpencerport, NY USA Post Number: 313 Registered: Jun-06 | Oh wait, never mind that second link, I wrong thing. It's max output is 800 but bridged it's 400. So forget about that one sorry |
Silver Member Username: KaerfplSpencerport, NY USA Post Number: 314 Registered: Jun-06 | I read the wrong thing***** lol |
