Silver Member Username: Crayola0Wisconsin Post Number: 180 Registered: Jun-06 | I know this is the wrong section but nobody answers to me in the amp part. Im gettin and audiobahn amp for budget for my 2 12" cvr's. What is the difference between these two? Which one is better? http://www.cardiscountstereos.com/catalog%20page.asp?Product+%23=A8000V OR http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=106&CF ID=1435988&CFTOKEN=8f4fba55cdadf5e4-7886D168-1422-7C6E-506C8E6C53736DBE THANKS FOR HELPIN ME OUT |
Silver Member Username: StnorrisEldridge, IA US Post Number: 691 Registered: Apr-06 | there is not a difference. the 8000v is the newer model..i think its 2006. the a8000t is the older model. i think the newer model is about the exact same amp. there might be a few TINY changess... |
Silver Member Username: Crayola0Wisconsin Post Number: 182 Registered: Jun-06 | What part on the a8000T glows cause it says it does. But for 30 bucks cheaper for the new model i mihgt just do that. Idk though cause i kinda like the chrome. Should i just go with the 8000v for 30 bucks cheaper cause im tryin to get everyhing for as cheap as i can. |
Silver Member Username: StnorrisEldridge, IA US Post Number: 696 Registered: Apr-06 | on the a8000t their are blue lights that shine out of both sides, out of those little grills. then the word audiobahn on the amp, has blue light coming out of there too. its your choice. 30 bucks for the newer one..thats a pretty good deal.... do it |
Silver Member Username: Crayola0Wisconsin Post Number: 183 Registered: Jun-06 | and the newer one is 800 at 4 ohms and hte dual 4 ohm cvr's are cheaper then the dual 2 ohm model so then i could wire the dual 4 to a 4 ohm load then save some more $dinero$$ |
Silver Member Username: StnorrisEldridge, IA US Post Number: 698 Registered: Apr-06 | no those amps are the exact same. they are both 800rms at 2 ohms. you have to get the dual 2s if you get either of those amps. |
Silver Member Username: Crayola0Wisconsin Post Number: 184 Registered: Jun-06 | on http://www.cardiscountstereos.com/CatalogPagetest.asp?Product+%23=A8002V and on http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=4152&C FID=1436194&CFTOKEN=1094642b05f02cd3-78A564ED-1422-7C6E-50E31762C5629217 they both say 800 at 4 ohms |
Silver Member Username: Crayola0Wisconsin Post Number: 185 Registered: Jun-06 | since it is a 2 channel amp should i just get the dual 4 and wire them to 2 ohms then run each one on a sperate channel. |
Silver Member Username: StnorrisEldridge, IA US Post Number: 700 Registered: Apr-06 | those are different amps. the first link way up there^^^ was the 1 channel a8000v. those 2 links right there^^ are for the 2 channel one. if you get the 2 channel one, then yea it will wire to 800rms at 4 ohms mono. and u will have to bridge the amp. if i were you, i would just get the 1 channel a8000v, and get the dual 2 ohm subs. |
Silver Member Username: Crayola0Wisconsin Post Number: 186 Registered: Jun-06 | could i run them off of each channel though? |
Silver Member Username: StnorrisEldridge, IA US Post Number: 705 Registered: Apr-06 | no, if you use both channels on the amp, your only going to get 400rms at teh most on the 2 channel. u have to bridge it to 1 channel to get 800rms. just pay a little more for the 2 ohm dvc, and get the 1 channel a8000v. |
Silver Member Username: Crayola0Wisconsin Post Number: 188 Registered: Jun-06 | i will spend the more money and get the dual 2 ohm. But 400 at 2 is like the same as 800 at 1 isnt it? cause if i run one sub to each channel then they still would get the same amount as if they were wired to 2 ohms, wouldnt they? |

Silver Member Username: Crayola0Wisconsin Post Number: 189 Registered: Jun-06 | which is better though, 1 channel or 2 channel? or doesnt it matter? |
Bronze Member Username: Naledge503Portland, Oregon U.S. Post Number: 38 Registered: Jun-06 | imo I dont think it makes a difference but me personally i would run it mono (1 Channel). |
Silver Member Username: Crayola0Wisconsin Post Number: 190 Registered: Jun-06 | aight thanks man |
Silver Member Username: Crayola0Wisconsin Post Number: 192 Registered: Jun-06 | What amp would u prefer the 8000t or the 8000v. I can get the V for 30 bucks cheaper then the T but i like the looks of the T better. What do u think? |
Silver Member Username: Crayola0Wisconsin Post Number: 193 Registered: Jun-06 | But the V has a built in digital voltmeter. |
Bronze Member Username: Naledge503Portland, Oregon U.S. Post Number: 39 Registered: Jun-06 | the performance of the 2 amps is the same. so if you want the one that looks better get that one. |
Bronze Member Username: Naledge503Portland, Oregon U.S. Post Number: 40 Registered: Jun-06 | I like the v better. |
