Silver Member Username: Crayola0Wisconsin Post Number: 126 Registered: Jun-06 | Would two 12" Kicker 06' CVX with a hifonics BXi2006D amp have good spl. I would wire them to 1 ohm then the hifonics could put out enough power. What Size ported enclosure should i put these in and what should i tune it to? if this thread appears more than once im sorry. Mine have been disapeering for some reason. its weird...lol |

Silver Member Username: Nnnnick_bWeddington, Nc Usa Post Number: 936 Registered: Jan-05 | 2-2.5 per sub. Tune 30-32. That hifonics amp is overrated. It will put out 75% of its rated power. SO around 1500-1600 watts. THe cvx handle 1000 watts. I would get a better quality 2000 watt amp. That really puts out what it says. do you have/plan on any electrical upgrades? 2000 watts is alot of power. |
Silver Member Username: Crayola0Wisconsin Post Number: 134 Registered: Jun-06 | well i found these for pretty cheap. http://www.millionbuy.com/kik06cvx12.html and i was lookin for a budget amp so i came up with the hifonics. |
Silver Member Username: Crayola0Wisconsin Post Number: 135 Registered: Jun-06 | if that is too much power for the stock electrical. then what system do u recomend for a stock electrical system? |
Silver Member Username: LoudonPost Number: 405 Registered: Jun-04 | that hifonics isnt as bad as people make out to be ... sure they are the most efficient .. but for a budget .. u canst go wrong |
Silver Member Username: Crayola0Wisconsin Post Number: 136 Registered: Jun-06 | is that too much for my alternator? I dont know what the specs are for it but i have a 1999 Dodge Durango V8 5.9 L. if that helps any. |
Silver Member Username: Nnnnick_bWeddington, Nc Usa Post Number: 937 Registered: Jan-05 | Some where between 100 and 150amps. I would try to get a kicker zx1500.1 to go with the cvx's. |
Silver Member Username: Crayola0Wisconsin Post Number: 137 Registered: Jun-06 | alright. Any other suggestions? |
Silver Member Username: Crayola0Wisconsin Post Number: 138 Registered: Jun-06 | The kicker amp is a little expensice. It would have to be around the price of the hifonics amp i mentioned. |

Gold Member Username: JakeyplaysbassSt. Louis, MO Post Number: 1271 Registered: Jul-05 | i ran a bx2005D for 6 months or so without a HO alternator and it was fine. im not saying you should do it but i did. my stock alt was 140amp and i had a stinger SP1000 battery. |
Gold Member Username: RovinTrinidad & T... Post Number: 8503 Registered: Jul-05 | i think that Hif amp 2006d would be a ggod enough choice - u will def need a HO alt & elctrical/batt upgrades Also since u say u want spl i would tune a lil higher like 35/36hz which still retains some SQ .... |
