For one, Sony shouldn't even be in that list and 2, for spending $150, you can find something better than JVC. Here are some for you to look at but you'll have to save up just alittle more money for some of them: Alpine: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6585.html Pioneer: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6306.html http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6304.html (I have this HU and it's awesome!) Kenwood (Don't like Kenwood too much, but I'd go with Kenwood over JVC any day): http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6438.html http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6437.html http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6929.html You can probably find some of these for cheaper on e-bay or possibly on another on-line store so check around |

As far as the front vs. rear AUX in, it's really not a big deal. When you install the deck you simply plug in your cable, most likely something like this into the back of the deck, then you run the cable out the back and around the front (in whatever way to can depending on your car) and then you'd just plug that cable into your ipod whenever you got in the car. The cable stays attached at all times so you don't have to carry the cable around all the time and it's very easy to hide depending on where you route it so you don't have this cable hanging out of your deck all the time. Also, it's important to remember that even decks without a dedicated AUX in can be used with an iPod. Most of the major brands sell patch cables to convert the cd changer port into an AUX in. That's how I run my iPod with my Pioneer DEH-P5800mp, using this cable attached to my deck and then this running from there to my iPod. Point being that there's no reason to limit your search for a deck based on iPod use since almost all decks can work for you. Now, if you want to control your iPod with your deck controls, that's a different story, but that's not what you're asking about. |
