Gold Member Username: IlluminatorUSA Post Number: 3362 Registered: Apr-05 | How exactly are you powering it? Grounding it shouldn't be a problem if you use a good power supply. http://cgi.ebay.com/Astron-RS-35A-13-8-VDC-35-AMP-Regulated-DC-Power-Supply_W0QQ itemZ290004583925QQihZ019QQcategoryZ48708QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem (+) and (-) binding posts in the back for the amp. |

Gold Member Username: IlluminatorUSA Post Number: 3365 Registered: Apr-05 | Though that is a good concept...Don't use a car battery in your room. That's very dangerous-especially because of the toxic hazards. If anything, just use the battery charger as your power supply. |
Gold Member Username: BlainewPost Number: 1356 Registered: Nov-05 | yea i was thinking of that too....but how do i ground the stuff |
Gold Member Username: IlluminatorUSA Post Number: 3370 Registered: Apr-05 | The negative cable is the ground. When you ground a cable in a car, you're essentially just connecting it to the negative terminal of the battery, since the negative terminal of the battery has a wire going straight to the car's chassis (sorry if you already knew this, I'm just clarifying things). |

Gold Member Username: IlluminatorUSA Post Number: 3372 Registered: Apr-05 | Hook up the negative terminal of the amp to the negative battery cable. |
Gold Member Username: BlainewPost Number: 1358 Registered: Nov-05 | so... i have the batt charger plugged into the wall, the poitive of the batt charger to the positive of the amp, and the negative of the batt charger to the negative of the amp??? |
Gold Member Username: IlluminatorUSA Post Number: 3375 Registered: Apr-05 | Yep, and you also need to hook up the remote wire of the amp to the positive battery charger cable. |
