I have a engine noise running through my stereo. It seems to be comming from my crossover/eq that i purchased. when i turn the volume up on the deck the engine noise stays the same but when i turn it up using the eg/crossover it increases. Does anyone know how to get rid of this. I was thinking battery grounding kit or msd 8.5 spark plug wires any suggestions

vettes are fun. unibody with fiberglass shell. hard to get a god ground.
run a ground wire from the battery negative terminal.
use it to directly ground your head unit, EQ, and amplifiers, etc..
avoid getting the audio wirig near any crossovers, or ignition system components.

zac is right in that it's alternator or ignition noise, but the problem is generally caused by grounding issues.

You may just have to turn the gain down on your amp a little bit.

Did you read Glasswolf's advice?

Having a fiberglass unibody is no fun! Can easily cause electrical fires and whatnot.
