I have a Sony CDX-F5510X cd player (52Wx4)with XS-GT6947X rear speakers, XS-GF1021X front speakers & XM-502Z amplifier. I am looking for a woofer from the sony brand. I don't know with the info provided, can anyone suggest some product. If at all you want some more info i can get it from the product manual. Thanks |

Silver Member Username: StnorrisEldridge, IA US Post Number: 485 Registered: Apr-06 | Johnsy, dont ever get a sony woofer. 2 x 100 Watts Max @ 4 OHM. 2 x 50 Watts RMS @ 4 OHM. 2 x 125 Watts Max @ 2 OHM. 2 x 60 Watts RMS @ 2 OHM. thats all ur amp can do^^^^. any sonys running at 1 channel, overheats REALLY BAD. i would recommend getting a new amp and a new sub. i would get an amp that can do 400rms @ 2 ohms, and then get a KICKER CVR, or an AA ASSassin. u can keep ur cd player and ur speakers, they will work fine for now. if u got more questions, my AIM is LIFELESSinABOX. lol^^ |

Gold Member Username: Extrmndor3Chicago, Ill Us Post Number: 1273 Registered: Feb-06 | i dont wan to be a hard @ss but if u a hell of installer u can make sonys 6x9 hit like 10's, if u know about imagin design in car audio u can make a sony cd receievr with their dso sound like a home receiver, and their amps u think they are not good ill said is so so a bit overated yes but definatly have some features that other dont like their bass boosst is at 30 hz (they put more power around 30hz, thats why they sound so boomy and feels better) and most of the amps have it at 45 hz like:kickers, us amps, soudstream, hifonics,, autotek and alpines and alot more im not sayin they boost the signal at 45 hz not they are mostly 40 hz or 45 hz back in the day good subs amps had their bass boost at 30 hz or 35 hz because low frequesis take more power,and alot of people do not have good chargin system they changed the bass from 30z to 45 hz for less power needed for amplification |

My Friend got a Sony XM-2002GTR amplifier powering 2 Sony XS-L123P5B in a sealed box for only $250. For that price i would say they are definitley worth it. They dont sound anywhere near as bad as the Visoniks but they are allright for the price. |

Gold Member Username: Extrmndor3Chicago, Ill Us Post Number: 1304 Registered: Feb-06 | firs ull need at least 100-200 watts of power of clean power for each speaker next ull need make a box like this  if the box is too dificult for you u should go ported and put them in a big box like 1.8-2.5 cb ft each chamber and u should ported at 45-60hz then ull have some 6x9 put them in your trunk and ull hear some good bass not too clear but some loud bass, check realmofexcursion.com on audiobahns some dude made a box for some 6x9 audiobahns speakers and some dude hitted around 160 db with like 10 6x9 |

Also - about Someone who uses Sony being hte career points leader.. Well - Sony has deep pockets, and can afford to send someone to a crazy amount of shows.. So while he has more points than anyone else (career) he's probably also been to a LOT more shows than anyone else. |
