I got these subs with the box (http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Kicker-Dual-12-Subwoofer-Enclosure-Package-DCVR12 -/sem/rpsm/oid/117529/catOid/-13093/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do) I have 2 of these Orion 600D amps (http://www.cardomain.com/item/ORI47400) Now here is my question ...... The sub box only has 1 connection ... inside the box they are wired like this (option #2) (http://www.crutchfieldadvisor.com/learningcenter/car/subwoofers_wiring.html?subs =2&impedance=DVC2x2) So i want to bridge both amps and put them to the subs. So can i put both sets of wires i get from briding the amps into the single connector on the box? Will the change the Ohms? Cut power? Hurt the coils or amps? The reason i want to do this is because i do not want to open up the box and cut a new hole for another connector |

Post Number: 886 Registered: Dec-05 | you do have 2 problems. 1- you got robbed on circuit city. 2- Your amps won't work at 1 ohm if they're both strapped. You're going to wire 1 sub 1 amp 1 sub 1 amp. That's the only way you won't fry them |

Post Number: 895 Registered: Dec-05 | if you wire them in parallel yes it will present 1 ohm, the problem is that your amps will put 1200w+ at 2 ohms cuz they're strapped. You should wire them alone or get orion 1200d. That's the best you can do, get a 800w rms amp at 1 ohm or 4 ohm. If i were you i would sell those orion 600d and buy audiobahn a80002t or mb quart raa1000 |
