Bronze Member Username: Matt_stuPost Number: 20 Registered: Jun-06 | alright i need an amp for an arsenal 15 inch subwoofer. i have these two picked out and am wondering your opinions on which one will power the sub better and if any would overpower them or what not. the RMS for the sub is 750w. heres the website if ya wanna check out more specs on it http://www.ascendantaudio.com/arsenal15specs.html the two amps i have it narrowed down to is the Hifonics BXI1206D and heres the specs for this one http://ikesound.com/product-product_id/4368 and the Lanzar OPTI2000D heres the specs for this one http://ikesound.com/product-product_id/2720 now i was originally going to go with the lanzar until someone from another forum sent me this message which made me question it since im semi new into systems. "Be careful with the gains though, you will be sending 1100W to a 750W sub. Refer to the "How to set amplier gains" stickey at the top of this forum. Plug in 800W @ 2-ohms in the calculator. the Aresenal 15 only comes in Dual 4-ohm voice coil configurations. You would wire the coils in parallel to have the Opti see a 2-ohm load, 1100W." thank you for any help |
