The 5V pre-outs are nice to have, but on the flip side it only puts out 14W RMS to the speakers so it would really depend on what other equipment you're running or planning on running. I imagine you put some thought into the purchase so it'll probably suit your needs just fine, but it's always dangerous to buy a deck, put it in, and THEN ask people how it shapes up, you might not like what they have to say. Here's a comparison with some other decks in the price range to give you some idea of where you stand. In terms of build quality I think eclipse is on par with the other top brand names (Alpine, Pioneer, etc.) From a personal standpoint, I've never liked the look of eclipse decks and they really don't offer enough of a performance advantage to offset that for me, but I know plenty of people who swear by them. |
