A/b's are about 60% efficient at full output -- 2400/.6 = 4000 The amp requires 4000w to deliver 2400 to your subs. 4000/14 = 285A At 14V you're going to be drawing well over 250A -- so... You need to be running 1/0 wire with a 300A fuse. Smaller wire wouldn't be safe, and a 150A fuse did exactly what it should have done.

Wednesday, June 07, 2006 - 15:18 GMT Assuming you've got the alternators to handle delivering that much power in the first place. And assuming that the Audiobahn will put out that much power. Fuses are used to stop excessive current from running through the line. Basically, it prevents a fire.
