Bronze Member Username: Splinter00Post Number: 17 Registered: May-06 | ok, well i dont think i will be getting any amp soon, so i doubt i will go with the components quite right now, ill get some coaxiles for now and when i do get an amp and components, i will just move the coaxiles to the back i guess |
Gold Member Username: Dustin3Tigard, Or U.S. Post Number: 1410 Registered: Oct-05 | get some CDT coaxials |
Bronze Member Username: Splinter00Post Number: 18 Registered: May-06 | is that a brand name or a certain type of coaxials? haha |
Bronze Member Username: Splinter00Post Number: 19 Registered: May-06 | nevermind i found some, what would be a decent price of those for a 6.5" pair? |
Bronze Member Username: Splinter00Post Number: 20 Registered: May-06 | ok between these 2 sets, which would be a better buy, and why? 1: http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=3066 or 2: http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=874 other than 10 watts? |
Silver Member Username: AlteraudiousaConcord Post Number: 847 Registered: Jan-06 | i'm a CDT dealer and only difference between those coax's are models from one year to the other. Pretty much same speaker. What is your price range and i'll see if I can get something more in your range. Also as far as components/coax go, the component set is made for high power ratings and also typically has better crossover setups. A few coax do now come with passive crossovers but for the most part most 90% of coax use resistors while components use a cluster of inductors, resisters and the sort to create crossover points and slopes. Components are the better way to go but coaxs are cheaper. |
Bronze Member Username: Splinter00Post Number: 21 Registered: May-06 | my price range is probably about 125$ max for a pair, and i would probably go with some coaxs just because im not going to get an amp for these speakers quite yet. |
