i have a 1000 watt sony exploded on my kicker 15 L7 barally pushses it puts out about 400 or 300 rms prolly so if i got the kicker 1200 amp and put it on the kicker solo baric how many times louder do yall think it would be with the kicker than the sony
that amp is a monoblock amp, u cant bridge it! u can wire it down to 1ohm or its lowest ohm load, to get max power... that will be the only way to get MAX power from the amplifer... If u want more power from it, get a BIGGer amplifier!
lol no i dont guess so but usually people around hear have 2 15 L5 and runnin them on a 1600 watt power acoustik amp or somethin so u think if i got the 1200 amp i would beat the hell out of theirs
power acoustics is over rated like a bit#$....tht kicker amp will but out a lil under if not 1200 watts if ur lucky........ive also heard tht l5 are a waste of money and sound like a trash can with a voice coil
Well even if they were rated at 14.4 instead of 13.8, that is only a 5 % difference in voltage. If the amp benches around 1450 @ 14.4 then it should bench around 1325-1350 @ 13.8. But with that size of an amp on a stock electrical system I'm sure his voltage rails will sag. I ran a 1200.1(two 600.1's same thing.) off my stock alt(120amps) and it worked fine but my voltage still droped to around 12.9 when the bass hit.
SO I wuz right????on a stock system u will only see under the actual or the actual rating of the amp...i got a question:now are all amps rated at 14.4v i heard this sum were i just dont no if it is tru??
Not all but most. An amp from a good company that is underated will generally put out its rated power at around 13+ volts. Like that 1200.1. I think it is rated at 14.4 volts. It will put out 1400+ at 14.4 volts. but at 13.5 it will still put out a little more then its rated power. Most amps wont work well under 11 volts. Same amps can work with as high as 16 volts.
