You wont be able to tell the difference between 1000rms and 1200rms. Doubling the wattage in a system will only give around a 3 db rise.(10 db is audibly doubling the noise) I order to double the noise you must multiply your power by 10. 10,000 watts will yeild twice the audilble noise as 1000 watts with the same subwoofer. What makes the difference is the install. A L5 and 500rms proffesionally installed will bump harder then an L7 with 1000 watts in a crapp y install. By an amp based on your budget, the subs RMS and reliability. Personally I think you would be happy giving that L7 1000rms. |

Silver Member Username: Nnnnick_bWeddington, Nc Usa Post Number: 759 Registered: Jan-05 | yes, it would be plenty loud. |
Bronze Member Username: Big_fletchNewport, Ar, Ar United states Post Number: 70 Registered: May-06 | how would u hook it up would u just hook it up and it would run on 2 ohm since the sub is an 2 ohm sub or how does that work? or do u haft to bridge it to make it put out 1200 rms watts |

Silver Member Username: Nnnnick_bWeddington, Nc Usa Post Number: 760 Registered: Jan-05 | I'm pretty sure its dual 2 ohm. |
Silver Member Username: DrivingrecklessNear tampa, Florida United state... Post Number: 574 Registered: Apr-06 | THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN WIRE THEM ARE TO 1 OHM OR 4 OHM.....THNX NICK |
Silver Member Username: Nnnnick_bWeddington, Nc Usa Post Number: 762 Registered: Jan-05 | but i'm not possitive. The 1200.1 runs at 1 ohm right? The 600.1s run at 2 ohms. as do the 400.1s |
Bronze Member Username: Big_fletchNewport, Ar, Ar United states Post Number: 71 Registered: May-06 | yea my sub is a dual 2 ohm so when i hooked in my up would it make it a 1 ohm and push 1200 to the sub or would it stay at 2 ohm and push only 600 |
Silver Member Username: Nnnnick_bWeddington, Nc Usa Post Number: 767 Registered: Jan-05 | If it is dual two ohm, then wiring in parallel would yield a 1 ohm load and wiring in series would yield a 4 ohm load. |
Gold Member Username: Dustin3Tigard, Or U.S. Post Number: 1387 Registered: Oct-05 | it would push 1200 if u wired it to 1 ohm... |

Gold Member Username: Safe_crackerChicago, IL US Post Number: 1160 Registered: Jan-06 | The Kicker sx and kx series are the only 1 ohm stable in Kicker's line. Interior size also plays a huge role in weather or not it will be loud, may even sound louder outside, lol. Polo. |
Silver Member Username: Nnnnick_bWeddington, Nc Usa Post Number: 770 Registered: Jan-05 | No, 3 db's require doulble the amplifier power. 10db's is a doubling of audible noise. Not all the kx's are one ohm stable. The 600.1 and 400.1 are only 2 ohms stable. |
Bronze Member Username: Big_fletchNewport, Ar, Ar United states Post Number: 74 Registered: May-06 | im puttin the sub in my escalade and im wantin to wire to 1 ohm if i do that will it be really loud and people can hear my bass from blocks to blocks? the sub box is ported |
Silver Member Username: Nnnnick_bWeddington, Nc Usa Post Number: 773 Registered: Jan-05 | You will get teh best results with a custom made ported enclosure tuned around 35 cycles. Not a prefab ported enclosure. The 1200.1 will give you plenty of power. Yes, you will be heard blocks away, but only with the right box. |
