Silver Member Username: StnorrisEldridge, IA US Post Number: 190 Registered: Apr-06 | i figured out that 1 12" 8500 mtx, is louder than 2 12" cvrs. 1 mtx 8500 has 1 cvr by 5.9 DB. That means that 2 cvrs would be about 2.9db lower than the 1 mtx sub. you can do a lot of sub comparisons on this site. http://www.mtx.com/Flash2/volume_displacement.cfm you can also test the jl vs. the mtx. The mtx 12" 9500 loses against the 12w7...... |

Silver Member Username: StnorrisEldridge, IA US Post Number: 192 Registered: Apr-06 | lol it would take over 12 15" jls to beat the jackhammer |

Silver Member Username: StnorrisEldridge, IA US Post Number: 195 Registered: Apr-06 | lol actually that site is just volume displacement. which kinda means something. But 12 18" Solo Xs dont have as much VD as 1 jackhammer. And i dont think that 1 18" kicker solox will ever beat the jackhammer. |
Silver Member Username: StnorrisEldridge, IA US Post Number: 196 Registered: Apr-06 | Jackhammer: This isn't some oversized cone stuck to the same magnets from a 15" woofer. JackHammer is the real deal. Manufactured in a custom facility with a magnetizer constructed just for this woofer--a magnetizer that wipes out any credit card that dares come within 25'. Lol, the sub is 2 feet tall, and is 369 lbs. |
