What is the best way to do this and at how many ohms. And then the second question is, If i connect at different ohms what will be different in the sound of the subwoofers? |

Bronze Member Username: Thejoester101Post Number: 14 Registered: May-06 | how do you do that, series or parallel? |
Silver Member Username: Van_manBoston, MA Post Number: 391 Registered: Mar-06 | neither. put one sub one one channel. 2nd sub on 2nd channel. If you seies them load will be 8 ohm load. in Parallel it would be a 2 ohm load. So you would have both subs on 1 channel at 2 ohms at 250 watts plit by 2 = 125wrms to each sub. If you had four subs you could use both channels like that. but only 2 subs, the best is 1 sub on each channel. Or use 1 sub and bridge the amp for 1x500@4ohms. |
Bronze Member Username: Thejoester101Post Number: 15 Registered: May-06 | Hey again, what do i do with the other + and - connectors. I have two sets on each subwoofer since it's a voice coil. Do i leave one set unplugged, (disconnected)? |
Bronze Member Username: Thejoester101Post Number: 16 Registered: May-06 | sorry to correct myself ^^^ its a DUAL VOICE COIL |
Bronze Member Username: Thejoester101Post Number: 17 Registered: May-06 | Would it make a difference if i left one set disconnected? |
Silver Member Username: Van_manBoston, MA Post Number: 394 Registered: Mar-06 | brigge the amp and wire like this.. 250 to each sub. |
Bronze Member Username: Thejoester101Post Number: 19 Registered: May-06 | But this is a 1 ohm load. I need a 4 ohm load. |
