Hello I have a Hifonics BX1500D bought it brand new It's been pushing an audiobahn for about 2 years I don't know what type this sub it is but it's rated 2000 rms any way all this is ran by a JVC KD-AV7010 DVD player.
Before I say any more I'm kind new to car the car stereo world but I know enough to hook up my own system.
Recently the Hifonics has been cutting out on me like not powering the sub I check the amp and it's still getting power no blow fuses, properly grounded too. I checked all wires and connections and it still stops powering the sub after about 5-10 minutes I thought it was going into protection mode cause of heat but it wasn't hot at all I'm starting to think it's about to die..
SO are there any ways to test this amp out and be sure it's fried? And what is a good RELIABLE reploace ment?
