I have an audiobahn a8000t. Should i be using the bass boost 0 - 18 db, or should i just leave it on 0. Anyone know anything about the bass boost? (like if it makes the amp or subs work harder?)

I have two Kicker 12" cvr, in a dual ported 38 hz box.

I personally WILL NOT use bass boost an any amp. Mainly becuase the boost is centered around a certain frequency, which in most cases is 45hz. So all it does is make your music sound boomy around that frequency range. It doesn't sound very natural. Better idea is to turn up the Subwoofer output level on your head unit, that way all frequencies from your subs are boosted. Try that instead, it will yeild better results.
