JL amps have thermal protection i believe and all JL's protection features are pretty good, so it should shut itself off before it damages itself. |

Silver Member Username: Johnny619San Diego, CA Post Number: 146 Registered: Dec-05 | my sub are 2 jl 12w6v2 whice are wire down to 2 ohm, and i am using 4 awg wire from a power cap |
Bronze Member Username: B_sonPost Number: 27 Registered: Apr-06 | wait is tht the right impedance load??? ur presenting a 1ohm load to an amp tht is made to run 1.5 at the lowest, so my research has said. |
Silver Member Username: Johnny619San Diego, CA Post Number: 147 Registered: Dec-05 | well each sub is at 4 ohm and i believe i wire it + to + and - to -, my subwoofer are in a prowedge box whice say say 4 ohm or somethin, but i know it not wire down to 1 ohm load |

Gold Member Username: TheelfkeeperStockbridge, GA USA Post Number: 2203 Registered: Feb-05 | i don't think it can be the impedance. JL amps won't power at all if the load is too low and it'd be pretty unlikely that the circuitry that monitors this isn't functioning properly. |
