Fs is the resonant frequency of the sub in free air.

which means at that frequency the subs VC rise in impedance....to what lever...nobody knows....coul dbe as much as 50 ohms...i have read that somewhere. lol. but anyway....your sub will play a 5 hz tone....BUT it will not be at the same power it will play say.....a 50hz tone....b/c of the subs impedance rise..

when the sub's VC's rise in impedance.....the amp can not give it as much power....so more power is needed to acheive the same output.

the only way a sub will not play say....a 5hz tone is if their is a SS filter set to like 25hz....b/c then anything below 25hz...will roll off(it is not a brick wall filter)

freq. response is what the sub will play until it reaches its FS....or when it plays so high to the point that the motor structure can't move that fast. and the bass starts to sound muddy. i think.:-)

My 8" Audax sub reproduces audible 25 Hz in a ported 1 CF enclosure.

The same driver reproduces down to 10 Hz in a ported 1.5 CF* enclosure.

The Fs is 34 Hz.
