I decided to stick with my arsenal instead of going with an RLp because they are very close in performance and i would lose money getting the SS. Anyways.. in the summer im going to upgrade to a slot ported box. i am looking for SQL. i have a few questions now:
-on AA's site it recomends 2.0 cu. ft. but should i go bigger? that seems a little small to me. -im thinking of going 35hz. is this good for SQL? -and how wide should i make the port? i was thinking 3" or is this too small?
I have it sealed right now. it might not be as loud as it could be once i get my alt, but i still want louder. also i remembered everyone was porting there ava's and they were loud..
if i dont like it ported then ill still have my old box and just sell the new one..
this is my new plan to do in the summer. sorry if the sketch is a little out of proportion... the trunk looks like a hatch but its a trunk. where the amp is, i plan on covering the whole trunk with a piece of carpeted MDF then cutting a piece out of the middle and putting a piece of plexiglass there. underneath it all is the spare tire well which is pretty big and ill take the tire out and put both of my amps in there. the spare tire well stretches from the front of the trunk all the way to the back. so behind the sub box i will put in 2 fans: 1 to blow air in and 1 to blow air out. well anyways those are my new plans for my trunk and ported box. what do you think?
