Gold Member Username: SouthernrebelMonroe, Louisiana USA Post Number: 2952 Registered: Mar-04 | yea...a watt is a watt, but all amps are not created equal. for example, an no-regulated amp that does 500w @ 1ohm, 250w @ 2ohm and 125w @ 4ohm will not perform like and regulated amp that does 500w at 1-4ohm. impedence rise at different frequencies will determine how a given amp will react to a speaker. But at a given freq. (say a 60hz burp)...the wave form will also come into play. A 500w (reactive) clean sine wave will should diffenent from a 500w (reactive) clipped wave. |
