Silver Member Username: Usask8er1Appleton, Wisconsin USA Post Number: 116 Registered: Jun-05 | I started with all my gains at half way and moved them while I had my sub playing to a bass tester song. There must be something worng with your wiring that yous amp is making your sub pop like that. Did you buy the amp new or used? |
Silver Member Username: Scott_debakerPittsburgh, P.A. U.S.A. Post Number: 319 Registered: Feb-06 | brand new i was usin 8g wire but my 0/1 wire just came right at the sec. iam gettin all the 0/1 wire prepared |
Silver Member Username: Usask8er1Appleton, Wisconsin USA Post Number: 117 Registered: Jun-05 | Well with the 8g u might of just been choking the amp. Hopefully the 0 does the trick if not there must be something messed up in the wiring or something cause right off the bat my amp was cranking on the sub. |

Silver Member Username: Usask8er1Appleton, Wisconsin USA Post Number: 119 Registered: Jun-05 | great answer to thatr question, how are you running two power supplys exactly you just have two 0/1g coming off your one batery or what? |
Silver Member Username: SolacedagonyNew Jersey US Post Number: 924 Registered: Oct-04 | There's absolutely no point in running 0/1 wire to it if you're just going to cut the wire down to fit it in the 4 gauge terminals. Gains for ANY amp should be set with an oscilloscope or a multimeter. Make sure you fuse the line going to the amp also. |
